Pursuant to section 23(3) of the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, Her Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has appointed the Dunedin City Council to have the control and management of the whole of the cemetery which comprises two land parcels:

Section 42 Irregular Block, West Taieri Survey District. Part Cemetery Ordinance 1864. SO Plan 21673 being 1.0534 hectares, more or less, as from the date of signing; and

Part Section 9 Block VIII Maungatua Survey District being 3326m² more or less, held in Record of Title OT171/68 (part cancelled).
