Tariff (Statistical Requirements) Amendment Notice (No. 1) 2024
This notice is made under section 10(2) of the Tariff Act 1988 by the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
This notice is the Tariff (Statistical Requirements) Amendment Notice (No. 1) 2024
This notice comes into effect on 1 July 2024
The Tariff is hereby amended by revoking the statistical key codes represented by Tariff items and codes 2404.12.00.00C, 2404.19.01.00A, 2404.19.05.00G 2710.91.00.00A, 2903.59.01.00K, 2903.89.00.10A, 2921.19.00.15E, 2929.90.00.29J, 2930.90.00.17J, 2930.90.00.55A, 2930.90.00.70E, 2931.49.00.30G, 2931.59.00.00J, 2931.90.00.17G, 2933.39.10.20H, and the items, codes, and descriptions preceded by dots under 3824.99.49, and substituting these with the statistical key codes specified in the First Schedule to this notice in the appropriate numerical and alphabetical order.
The Tariff is hereby amended by correcting the unnumbered statistical key description that appears under Tariff item: 2204.29.10 and the description represented by Tariff item and code 2930.90.00.15B as specified in the Second Schedule to this notice in the appropriate numerical and alphabetical order.

This notice amends the statistical key codes and descriptions of the Tariff items specified in this notice. The First Schedule provides for a request to identify vaping products and products relating to the WCO recommendations for the Basel Convention (waste oil containing PCBs), the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (specific chemicals and preparations) and the Rotterdam Convention (specific chemical compounds). The Second Schedule corrects some minor description errors.
