Notice of Intention to Cease to Carry on Business in New Zealand

Notice is given pursuant to section 341(1)(a) of the Companies Act 1993 (“Act”), that THE CITY OF LONDON INVESTMENT TRUST PLC, a company incorporated in the United Kingdom and registered on the New Zealand Overseas Register, intends to cease to carry on business in New Zealand.

Pursuant to section 341(1)(b) of the Act, the above-named company will give notice to the Registrar of Companies to remove the company from the Overseas Register no earlier than three months from the date of publication of this notice.

Unless written objection to removal of the above-named company on the grounds that it is still carrying on business in New Zealand is delivered to the Registrar by 29 March 2024, being not less than 20 working days from the date of this notice, the Registrar is required to remove the company from the Overseas Register.
