The Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives public notice under sections 6 and 170 of the Telecommunications Act 2001 (“Act”) that it has determined and published the Fibre Price-Quality Path Determination 2024 [2024] NZCC 34 (“Fibre PQ Determination”).

Summary of the Fibre PQ Determination

The Fibre PQ Determination specifies the following for Chorus Limited (“Chorus”) in respect of its provision of fibre fixed line access services during the period starting 1 January 2025 and ending 31 December 2028 (“second regulatory period”):

1. the maximum revenues that may be recovered by Chorus in each year of the second regulatory period; and
2. the minimum quality standards Chorus must meet during the second regulatory period.
