Notice of Recognition of Inspection Body Under the Health and Safety in Employment (Pipelines) Regulations 1999

Pursuant to Regulation 9 of the Health and Safety in Employment (Pipelines) Regulations 1999, I, Mark Donaghue, in exercise of powers delegated to me by WorkSafe New Zealand, hereby give notice of recognition as an inspection body to Methanex New Zealand Limited.

This notice also serves purpose to withdraw the previously issued notice of recognition, as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 15 May 2014, No. 48, page 1399, regarding Methanex New Zealand Limited under the specified regulations herein.

Methanex New Zealand Limited’s recognition as an inspection body is subject to the following conditions:

  1. Methanex New Zealand Limited shall retain its ISO/IEC 17020 accreditation.
  2. Methanex New Zealand Limited shall provide and maintain WorkSafe with a copy of their current list of verification personnel, the authorised signatories and their scopes. Any changes to the list of personnel, including (but not limited to) authorisation changes, additions or deletions must be notified to WorkSafe as soon as the changes take effect.
  3. Services are limited to procedures covered in the company’s quality system and to the scope of the company’s signatory approvals held by its inspectors.
  4. This recognition shall remain in force for a period of five (5) years from the date of this notice, provided all its conditions continue to be satisfied and unless cancelled in writing. Therefore, application for continued recognition will be required on or before 19 March 2029.
  5. This recognition shall remain in force for the specified period subject to satisfactory periodic surveillance visits from WorkSafe and/or IANZ.
