Environmental Performance Measures Record Keeping Requirements for Drinking Water Network Operators Notice 2023
This notice issued pursuant to section 146(1) of the Water Services Act 2021 (“Act”) by the Chief Executive of Taumata Arowai – the Water Services Regulator (Taumata Arowai), acting under delegated authority, requires drinking water network operators to keep and maintain records relating to compliance with applicable environmental performance measures.
This notice is the Environmental Performance Measures Record Keeping Requirements for Drinking Water Network Operators Notice 2023.
The purpose of this notice is to set record-keeping requirements for drinking water network operators relating to compliance with the environmental performance measures for drinking water networks published under section 145 of the Act on 30 June 2023.
Water Services Act 2021, section 146(1).
This notice comes into force on 1 July 2023.
Drinking water network operators must keep and maintain records of the information listed for the applicable class of network in the document Network Environmental Performance Measures and Guide June 2023, published on the Taumata Arowai website https://www.taumataarowai.govt.nz.
Network operators must provide the records kept and maintained in accordance with this notice to Taumata Arowai for each reporting period of 1 July to 30 June, by no later than 30 September each year.
The records must be provided electronically on a template sent to network operators by Taumata Arowai.
Taumata Arowai is the administering agency for this notice.
This notice is secondary legislation as defined in the Legislation Act 2019.
This notice continues in force until it is revoked or replaced.
