Notice of Proposal to Incorporate Material by Reference in Proposed Safe Work Instrument

In accordance with clause 1(a) of Schedule 2 of the Legislation Act 2019, I, Phil Parkes, Chief Executive, WorkSafe New Zealand, give notice that it is proposed that the standard listed in the Table is incorporated into the proposed safe work instrument listed in the Table for the purposes of the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017.

The reason for the proposal is to specify Standards Australia Amendment No.1 to AS 4627:2017 Quick-connect devices for gas as a standard for valve inlet connections of LPG regulators.

The following table sets out the material proposed for incorporation by reference, the proposed safe work instrument in which it is proposed to be incorporated, and the internet site address where the standard is available, free of charge:

The safe work instrument that proposes to incorporate the standard listed in the Table is undergoing public consultation from 30 May 2023 until 27 June 2023. People can provide comment on the proposed standard for incorporation as part of the public consultation process.
