Notice is given under section 161(1) of the Land Transfer Act 2017 of the following application for a Record of Title based on adverse possession made under section 155 of the Act.

Application 12223245.1 by Ann Cecilia Gemmell and David Teowhero Paul Gemmell, c/- Layburn Hodgins, PO Box 795, Christchurch 8140, Attention: Caitlin Stack for land at Whitecliffs Road, Glentunnel between 200 and 204 Whitecliffs Road, Selwyn District being 319 square metres, more or less, and being part Lot 1 LT 564629 in Record of Title CB6/245 in the Canterbury Land Registration District owned by George Andrewes Makeig. The applicants claim to have been in continuous and undisputed possession of the land for over 40 years.

A person claiming an estate or interest in the land described may lodge a caveat under section 162 of the Act to prevent the application from being granted before 29 August 2023. If no caveats are lodged, the Record of Title will be issued and existing estates and interests extinguished.
