Under the provisions of sections 24(1) and 26(1) of the Reserves Act 1977 the Director Regional Operations, Northern South Island, Department of Conservation, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule from local purpose (community buildings) reserve to local purpose (tourism, research and education) reserve and vests the reserve in the Kaikoura District Council for that purpose.
