Pursuant to section 94D of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Wayne Kelvin Forrest Brown, extend the local transition period over the Auckland Region, owing to the severe weather events that impacted the Auckland Region (including the January Floods and Cyclone Gabrielle).

This extension of the local transition period:

1. comes into force at 7.57am on 14 December 2023, which is when the current transition period ends:

3. ends at 7.57am on 11 January 2024, unless terminated or further extended earlier.
