Pursuant to section 71 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Leonard Thomas Arthur Salt, extend the state of local emergency declared at 1.35pm on Friday 3 February 2023 for the Thames-Coromandel District owing to severe weather event resulting in land instability that endangers the safety of the public and property.

The state of local emergency is extended for seven days. It will take effect immediately from the time the initial declaration of state of emergency (or the last extension) was to expire.
