Pursuant to section 94D of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2022, I, Rehette Stoltz, further extend the local transition period given at 12.00pm on 25 June 2023, which I previously extended at 2.15pm on 21 July 2023 over the Tairāwhiti Region owing to the cumulative impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle and the June severe weather event.

This extension of the transition period:

1. comes into force immediately before 12.00pm on 19 August 2023, which is the time and date when this current local transition period expires;
2. is in force for 28 days; and
3. ends at 12.00pm on 16 September 2023 unless extended or terminated earlier.
