Pursuant to section 72 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, John Robertson, terminate the state of local emergency declared at 7.05pm on 28 January 2023 for Waitomo District owing to severe weather event causing flooding.

The termination of the state of local emergency takes effect immediately on the making of this declaration.
