Pursuant to section 94D of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Joshua Te Kaha Wharehinga, declare that a state of local emergency exists in Tairawhiti CDEM Group owing to the impacts of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Hale Severe Weather Event.
