Pursuant to section 94D of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Rehette Stoltz, give notice of a local transition period over the Tairāwhiti Region owing to Cyclone Gabrielle.

This transition period comes into force at 4.00pm on 12 June 2023, which is the time and date when this notice is given and is in force for 28 days unless extended or terminated earlier.

The previous national transition period over the Tairāwhiti Region notice of which was given on 3 March 2023, ceased to have effect at 8.43am on 12 June 2023.
