In the matter of the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal:

Pursuant to section 256 of the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006 (“Act”), notice is hereby given that on 17 May 2023, the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal ordered, pursuant to section 242(1)(e) and 244 of the Act, that Christopher Tennet be suspended from practice as a barrister or solicitor for 12 months from 22 June 2023.

On 6 September 2023 the High Court formally issued a judgment which recorded the appeal was allowed to the extent that the length of the suspension is varied from 12 months to nine months, beginning 4 October 2023.
