The Minister of Local Government, Kieran McAnulty, now gives notice, pursuant to section 258I(3)(b) of the Local Government Act 2002, that a triennial general election for members of the Tauranga City Council is called, to be held on 20 July 2024.

Additionally, pursuant to sections 258I and 258J of the Local Government Act 2002, the Minister has also decided to postpone the 2025 Tauranga City Council triennial election until 2028.
