Appointment is being made in accordance with Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, Her Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint:

Caren Leslie Fox

as Chief Judge Māori Land Court, including performing judicial functions under Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, the Fisheries Act 1996, the Maori Fisheries Act 2004, the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Claims Settlement Act 2004, and the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Act 2011 commencing on 5 July 2023.
