Pursuant to section 256 of the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006 (“Act”), notice is hereby given that on 13 January 2022, the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal ordered, pursuant to sections 242(1)(e) and 244 of the Act, that

James Desmond Gardner-Hopkins

be suspended from practice as a barrister or as a solicitor, for a period of two years from 7 February 2022. On 20 July 2022 the High Court issued a judgment which recorded this order is quashed and the suspension is to run for a period of three years from 7 February 2022.
