Pursuant to section 74 of the Legislation Act 2019 and section 448(2) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994 (as it applied before 28 October 2021), notice is given that the Minister of Transport has made the following maritime rules:

Maritime Rules (Parts 23 and 53) Amendment 2022

These rules were signed on 18 November 2022 and will come into force on 22 December 2022.

The empowering provision under which these rules were made is section 36 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994.

Maritime New Zealand is the administering agency responsible for the rules.

These rules are secondary legislation for the purpose of the Legislation Act 2019.

These rules are available for inspection free of charge, or for purchase, from Maritime New Zealand, Level 11, 1 Grey Street, Wellington, or on the Maritime New Zealand website at: www.maritimenz.govt.nz/rules.
