Under the Legislation Act 2019, notice is given of the making of the following secondary legislation:

The CodeMark scheme rules will take effect from 7 September 2022. Accredited product certification bodies on this date are considered registered for the next six months but must apply to MBIE within that period for registration. All current product certificates on this date are considered registered product certificates.

All applications for certification already in progress prior to 7 September 2022 may continue to be assessed under the requirements of the existing scheme. Despite this, any certificate issued after 7 September 2022 (irrespective of being assessed under the current or new requirements) must be issued in compliance with the Building (Product Certification) Regulations 2022 in respect of certificate content.
