Compliance Rules Notice 2022
This notice issued pursuant to section 49 of the Water Services Act 2021 (“Act”) by the Chief Executive of Taumata Arowai–the Water Services Regulator (Taumata Arowai), acting under delegated authority, gives notice that compliance rules have been made for drinking water suppliers and others with functions or duties under Part 2 of the Water Services Act 2021.
This notice is the Compliance Rules Notice 2022.
The compliance rules referred to in this notice are titled the Drinking Water Quality Assurance Rules 2022.
The purpose of this notice is to notify the publication of compliance rules setting out requirements relating to the performance of functions or duties under Part 2 of the Water Services Act 2021 by drinking water suppliers and other persons.

The Drinking Water Quality Assurance Rules 2022 were made on 25 July 2022 and come into force on 14 November 2022.
The administering agency for the Drinking Water Quality Assurance Rules 2022 is Taumata Arowai.
The Drinking Water Quality Assurance Rules 2022 are published on the Taumata Arowai website https://www.taumataarowai.govt.nz.
The Drinking Water Quality Assurance Rules 2022 are secondary legislation for the purpose of the Legislation Act 2019.
