Notice of New and Altered Official Geographic Names for Ngāti Rangitihi Claims Settlement Act 2022

Pursuant to sections 65, 68, 69, 91 and 104 of the Ngāti Rangitihi Claims Settlement Act 2022 (“Settlement Act 2022”), the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“Board”) hereby gives notice of five new and altered official geographic names as described in the Schedule below.

The new and altered official geographic names took effect on 19 May 2022, being the settlement date specified in the Settlement Act 2022. Pursuant to sections 66, 70 and 92 of the Settlement Act 2022, the Board may in the future agree to alter any official geographic name listed in the Schedule with the written consent of the trustees of Te Mana o Ngāti Rangitihi Trust.
