Pursuant to section 94B of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, John Leggett, give notice of a local transition period over Marlborough District owing to the cumulative severe weather event of August 2022.

This transition period:

1. comes into force at 4.30pm on 26 August 2022, which is the time and date when the state of emergency declared at 4.30pm on 19 August 2022, expires;
2. is in force for 28 days; and
3. ends at 4.30pm on 23 September 2022 unless extended or terminated earlier.
