Pursuant to section 160(3) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, I, Mitchell Des Spence, Senior Solicitor, acting under delegated authority from the Minister of Finance and the Secretary to the Treasury, give notice that on or about 31 October 2022, the Honourable Grant Robertson, Minister of Finance, and the Honourable Dr Megan Woods, Minister of Housing, gave approval under section 160(1)(b) of the Crown Entities Act 2004 for Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities (and its subsidiaries):

• in relation to section 162 of that Act, to borrow money (by way of loan, overdraft, or otherwise) from the New Zealand Treasury; and
• in relation to section 164 of that Act, to enter into derivatives for the purpose of managing treasury risk on borrowings or in carrying out its key objectives in accordance with its board approved Treasury policy,

in each case subject to the terms contained in the document entitled “Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities Borrowing and Derivatives Approval”.
