Under sections 200, 204 and 205 of the Education and Training Act 2020, I hereby redesignate Te Kura o Ōmarumutu (1861) as a designated character school. This designation will take effect from 25 July 2022.

Te Kura o Ōmarumutu will operate in accordance with section 204 of the Education and Training Act 2020. The designated character of the school is:

Te Kura o Ōmarumutu offers Māori Medium provision and a hapū based curriculum based on the three tūpuna hapū of Te Whakatōhea iwi.

The constitution of the Te Kura o Ōmarumutu board shall not be changed by this notice.
