Under section 190 of the Education and Training Act 2020, I hereby establish a co-educational composite school in Melville, which may provide education from Years 7 to 13 and is to be known as Melville Year 7–13 College.

The board of this school will have an alternative constitution under section 190(6) of the Act.

The establishment board will be made up of:

1. seven appointed members, one of which must be a representative for Ngāti Maahanga, and one of which must be a representative for Ngāti Wairere; and
2. no more than six people co-opted by the board, the principal or principal designate; and
3. an elected student representative; and
4. an elected staff representative.
