Notice of Acceptance of Industry Body Recommendation on New Gas Governance Rules for the Disclosure of Gas Production and Storage Facility Outage Information
The Gas Act 1992 was amended in 2021 to allow the Minister of Energy and Resources to recommend regulations for the disclosure of information that may have significant downstream impact or may contribute to the risk of critical contingency events.
Following consideration of a recommendation from Gas Industry Company Limited that I received on 18 February 2022, and in accordance with section 43ZP of the Gas Act 1992 (“Act”), I give notice that I have accepted the recommendation to introduce new gas governance rules for the disclosure of gas production and storage facility outage information.
