Pursuant to section 4D(1)(a) of the Electoral Act 1993 and section 32 of the Crown Entities Act 2004, Her Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint:

Karl Mervyn Le Quesne, public servant of Auckland

to be a member and the Chief Electoral Officer of the Electoral Commission for a term of five years commencing on 21 April 2022.
