Under sections 200, 204 and 205 of the Education and Training Act 2020, I hereby declare that Whangamarino School (2083) will be a designated character school, kura-ā-iwi. This designation will take effect from 2 May 2022.

Whangamarino School will operate in accordance with section 204 of the Education and Training Act 2020. The designated character of the school is:

Whangamarino School offers dual English and Māori Medium provision and a curriculum based on the traditional and historical knowledge of Ngāti Pikiao.

The constitution of the Whangamarino School Board shall not be changed by this notice.
