Fisheries (Declaration of Opihi Extension Mātaitai Reserve) Notice 2022 (Notice No. MPI 1425)
Pursuant to Regulation 22 of the Fisheries (South Island Customary Fishing) Regulations 1999, the Director-General of the Ministry for Primary Industries gives the following notice.
This notice is the Fisheries (Declaration of Opihi Extension Mātaitai Reserve) Notice 2022.
This notice comes into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
(1) This notice declares the establishment of the Opihi Extension Mātaitai Reserve.
(2) The area of the mātaitai reserve is the area of South Island fisheries waters in the streams, creeks, and bodies of water that adjoin the southwest corner of the Ōpihi Lagoon area, as defined in the Fisheries (Notification of Opihi Mātaitai Reserve and Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki) Notice 2014 (New Zealand Gazette, 10 July 2014, No. 73, page 2070).
(3) There are no conditions imposed for the mātaitai reserve.
