PUBLIC TRUST AS TRUSTEE OF THE AHIMSA TRUST CREATED BY THE WILL OF THE LATE JAMES OWEN

In the matter of Part 3 of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, and in the matter of an application by Public Trust in relation to certain charitable trusts declared by the will of James Owen of Orewa, New Zealand, Gentleman.
Take notice that on Monday 17 October 2022 at 10.00am, or so soon thereafter as Counsel may be heard, the applicant will apply to the High Court at Wellington for an order approving a scheme to vary the terms of the charitable trusts established by the will of the late James Owen.
The purpose of the application is to update such trusts on the grounds that it is now impossible or impracticable or inexpedient to carry out the purposes for which the Trust was originally established. Further particulars of the application may be obtained from the office of the Public Trust at the address for service shown below
The proposed Scheme and the Attorney-General’s report are also available for inspection free of charge at the High Court at Wellington.
Any person desiring to oppose the proposed Scheme must give written notice of their intention to do so to:
not less than seven clear days before this matter is due to be heard.
