This notice issued pursuant to section 52 of the Water Services Act 2021 (“Act”) by the Chief Executive of Taumata Arowai–the Water Services Regulator (“Taumata Arowai”), acting under delegated authority, gives notice that the templates for drinking water safety planning listed below have been issued.

1. Title

This notice is the Drinking Water Safety Planning Templates (Very Small Supplies, Small Supplies, Medium Supplies and Water Carriers) Notice 2022.

2. Purpose

The purpose of this notice is to issue templates to assist drinking water suppliers in preparing drinking water safety plans to comply with sections 30 and 31 of the Act.

3. Templates

The following templates are issued under section 52 of the Act:

• Drinking Water Safety Planning Template For Very Small Communities: Supplying up to 25 people
• Drinking Water Safety Planning Template For Small Supplies: Supplying 26–100 people
• Drinking Water Safety Planning Template For Medium Supplies: Supplying 101–500 people
• Drinking Water Safety Planning Template For Water Carrier Services

The templates are available for download on the Taumata Arowai website https://www.taumataarowai.govt.nz or copies can be collected from a Taumata Arowai office.
