Application pursuant to section 284 of the Companies Act 1993 for directions in relation to the distribution of refunds paid, or due to be paid, to STA TRAVEL (NZ) LIMITED (in liquidation) (“STA Travel”).

On 10 September 2021, the liquidators of STA Travel filed an originating application for directions in relation to the distribution of refunds paid, or due to be paid, to STA Travel by airlines and other travel providers.

By Minute dated 16 September 2021, the Court permitted the liquidators to serve the application on creditors by email, publication on the relevant pages of the Deloitte website, and public advertisement. Any creditor of STA Travel, or other person demonstrating sufficient interest, may apply to the Court within 10 working days of service to modify or discharge the orders as to service, on appropriate notice being given to the liquidators.

The following court documents are available on the Deloitte website for viewing by customers and creditors only. These documents are password protected and enquiries for the required password should be made to the email noted below:

• Originating application for directions as to the treatment of refunds;
• supporting affidavit and exhibits; and
• application in respect of service and Order of the Court.
