Pursuant to sections 10(1)(d), 24(2)(b) and 21(2) of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008, the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“Board”) gives notice discontinuing two official geographic names and three unofficial recorded geographic names as described in the Schedule below.
The names relate to features that are no longer within the Board’s jurisdiction. They may continue to be used but will no longer be subject to the requirements of the Act.
The Board’s final determinations on these discontinued geographic names took effect on 26 August 2021.
