Pursuant to section 16(1) of the Major Events Management Act 2007 (“Act”), the Minister for Economic and Regional Development gives the following notice:

1. Commencement and Purpose

This notice, which comes into force on the day of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette, declares the clean zones and clean periods pursuant to section 16 of the Act for the six WCWC 2022 host city venues.

2. Clean Zones and Clean Periods

(1) The clean zone and clean periods for each WCWC 2022 venue are set out in the Schedules as follows:

Schedule 1: Eden Park, Auckland

Schedule 2: Seddon Park, Hamilton

Schedule 3: Bay Oval, Tauranga

Schedule 4: The Basin Reserve, Wellington

Schedule 5: Hagley Oval, Christchurch

Schedule 6: University Oval, Dunedin

(2) The clean zones described in the Schedules include the land comprising:

1. the named streets or roads that form the border of each clean zone up to the boundary of any abutting land at the outside edge of the clean zone; and
2. the land wholly enclosed by the border formed by the named streets or roads.

3. Excluded Land and Buildings

For the avoidance of doubt, any excluded land or buildings as defined in section 16(5) of the Act, are not included in the clean zones described in the schedules to this notice.

Schedule 1—Eden Park, Auckland

Clean Zone

The area shown in Map A, being the area bordered by and including:

1. Onslow Road from Sandringham Road to Kowhai Street;
2. Kowhai Street from Onslow Road to Walters Road;
3. Walters Road from Kowhai Street to Marlborough Street;
4. Marlborough Street from Walters Road to Raleigh Street;
5. Raleigh Street from Marlborough Street to Cricket Avenue;
6. Cricket Avenue from Raleigh Street to Reimers Avenue;
7. Reimers Avenue;

The Eden Park clean zone will apply during the following periods:

1. From 6.00am on Saturday 19 March 2022 until 11.59pm on Saturday 19 March 2022
2. From 6.00am on Sunday 20 March 2022 until 11.59pm on Sunday 20 March 2022
