Pursuant to clause 96 of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Protection Framework) Order 2021 (“Order”), I, the Director-General of Health, hereby specify the following examination or tests for COVID-19 to be an applicable COVID-19 test for the purposes of clause 96 of the Order:
- For persons travelling in accordance with clauses 96, 97 and 98 of the Order, testing for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) viral ribonucleic acid:
- using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) or transcription-mediated amplification (TMA);
- on a sample collected by taking nasopharyngeal swabs, oropharyngeal and anterior nasal swabs, or saliva;
- which is undertaken in accordance with a laboratory’s accreditation to ISO15189;
- Or a Point-of-care test that has been;
- approved for use under clause 8 of the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Point-of-care Tests) Order 2021; and
- supervised by a medical practitioner.
