I hereby give notice that, under section 9I of the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003, the Responsible Lending Code (“Code”) was amended and issued on 13 October 2021.

The addition of an addendum to the Code will provide guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic. It will come into force on 5 November 2021 and will expire on 1 February 2022.

The addendum to the Code is available on the website of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment at https://www.mbie.govt.nz/dmsdocument/17505-updated-addendum-to-the-responsible-lending-code-covid-19.
