I hereby give notice that, under section 9I of the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003, the Responsible Lending Code (“Code”) was amended and issued on Friday 24 September 2021.

All provisions of the Code, except for Chapter 12, will come into force on 1 December 2021. Chapter 12 of the Code will come into force on 1 February 2022. Until this date, Chapter 12 of the previous version of the Responsible Lending Code remains in force, available here: https://www.mbie.govt.nz/dmsdocument/17079-responsible-lending-code-june-2017-pdf.
