Approval for rural assistance under Special Needs Grants Programme

This instrument, which comes into force on 2 August 2021, gives approval for payments under Part 6 of the programme to farmers affected by drought or flood or by both drought and flood in the territories of the following local authorities:

  1. Marlborough District Council:
  2. Kaikoura District Council:
  3. Hurunui District Council:
  4. Selwyn District Council:
  5. Waimakariri District Council:
  6. Christchurch City Council:
  7. Ashburton District Council:
  8. Timaru District Council:
  9. Mackenzie District Council:
  10. Waimate District Council:
  11. Waitaki District Council:
  12. Central Otago District Council:
  13. Queenstown Lakes District Council:
  14. Dunedin City Council:
  15. Clutha District Council:
  16. Chatham Islands District Council:
  17. Buller District Council:
  18. Grey District Council:
  19. Westland District Council:
  20. Tasman District Council.

The approval applies between 2 August 2021 and the close of 1 August 2022.

The instrument is a disallowable instrument for the purposes of the Legislation Act 2012 and is administered by the Ministry for Social Development.
