Notice of Application for a Scheduled International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to section 87E(1) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, clause 2 of Schedule 2 of the Public Service Act 2020, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 2 December 2020, I give notice that an application has been received from Transpac Express (New Zealand) Ltd seeking that the Minister of Transport grant it a scheduled international air service licence to operate cargo-only services between New Zealand and each of the Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, New Caledonia, Samoa, Tonga and Wallis Island. Transpac Express also seeks via and beyond rights in respect of the aforementioned destinations.

In regards to New Caledonia, where there are limits on the number of services that may be operated, Transpac Express seeks capacity of one return service per week with an A321 aircraft.

Any person wishing to make representations to the Minister of Transport relating to this application must forward those representations in writing to reach me at the Ministry of Transport, P.O. Box 3175, Wellington, on or before 13 August 2021.
