Pursuant to sections 200, 204 and 205 of the Education and Training Act 2020 (“Act”), I hereby designate Te Kura o Rangiriri (1919) as a designated character school. This designation will take effect from 26 July 2021.

Te Kura o Rangiriri will operate in accordance with section 204 of the Education and Training Act 2020. The kura will teach in te reo Māori and the designated character of the school will be:

Te Kura o Rangiriri will function, operate and frame its curriculum within its primary Rangiriri identity centred within the worldview of Ngāti Naho, Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Pou, Maurea and Horahora Marae.

The constitution of Te Kura o Rangiriri Board of Trustees shall not be changed by this notice.
