Take notice that, pursuant to part 2, (subpart 2) of the Prisoners’ and Victims’ Claims Act 2005 (“Act”), compensation awarded to Siuaki Lisiate was paid to the Secretary for Justice on 28 January 2020 and 25 June 2020, and the surpluses, were paid into the Victims’ Claims Trust Account on 4 February 2020 and 30 June 2020 on behalf of Siuaki Lisiate to enable any victims of that offender to make claims against it.

And that on 18 July 2020, notice was given by publication in the daily newspapers in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin and on 17 July 2020 was published in the New Zealand Gazette and on the website of the Ministry of Justice, of the sum of money paid into the Trust Account, and the entitlement of victims of the offender to claim against this money and the manner to do so.

The Secretary for Justice has now paid out all money held in the Trust Account on behalf of Siuaki Lisiate in accordance with Subpart 2 of Part 2 of the Act.
