Notice Under Section 332 of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013

Pursuant to section 331 of the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, the Financial Markets Authority on 15 February 2021 approved rule changes for the NZX Derivatives Market, a licensed market operated by NZX Limited, as detailed in the notice Financial Markets Conduct (NZX Derivatives Market Rules) Approval of Rule Change Notice 2021.

The purposes of the changes is to align the NZX Derivatives Market Rules with corresponding changes to the NZX Participant Rules to:

  1. reduce overlap between the NZX rules and relevant legislation; and
  2. enhance order records, conflicts management, and surveillance tools.

The approved rule changes will come into effect on a date to be determined by NZX in accordance with the requirements of the NZX Derivatives Market Rules.
