Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004—Shared Path Behavioural and Cycle Detector Loop Road Markings
Pursuant to subclause 5.4(1A) of Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004 and a delegation from the Waka Kotahi, NZ Transport Agency, I, Hayley Evans, Senior Manager Systems Integrity, authorise the installation and maintenance of the road markings described in the Schedule 1, in accordance with the conditions set out in this notice:
M10-1 ‘Slow roundel’: Users should travel at a slower speed on the section of path beyond the marking.
Grid size: 100mm minimum
Colour: white (reflectorised)
M10-2 ‘Slow Zone’: The area between the two ‘Slow Zone’ markings has been designated a ‘Slow Zone’. Users should travel at a slow speed when traversing the ‘Slow Zone’.

M10-3 ‘Keep left’: Advises users to keep left.

M10-4 ‘Give space’: Riders should give pedestrians space when passing

M10-5 ‘Keep dogs close’: Dog walkers should keep dogs close.

M10-6 ‘Alert when passing’: Users should alert others when passing.

M10-7 ‘Move to side when stopped’: Users should move to the side of the path when stopped

M2-3F Cycle loop detection marking: Indicates to cyclists the most sensitive area of the detection loop to trigger the cycle signals.
