The Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives public notice under section 181 of the Telecommunications Act 2001 (“Act”) that it has amended the Fibre Input Methodologies Determination 2020 [2020] NZCC 21, as previously amended (“fibre IMs”).

Summary of the Amendments

The amendments have been published in the Fibre Input Methodologies (base capex and connection capex baseline allowance determination dates) Amendment Determination 2021 [2021] NZCC 17 (“amendment determination”).

The amendments change the date by which the Commission must determine a “base capex allowance” and “connection capex baseline allowance” for Chorus Limited for the first regulatory period, which starts on 1 January 2022 and ends on 31 December 2024.
