Pursuant to section 338(2) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the Māori freehold land known as Karamu H Sec 3G Block be included in the Karamu H3G & H3H Māori Reservation. The Māori reservation is set aside for the common use and benefit of the members of the Ngāti Hori Tribe for the purpose of a meeting place by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 11 July 1957, No. 50, page 1286.
