Pursuant to section 94B of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Neville Mark Gray Cook, give notice of a local transition period over the Southland Region owing to the Southland wide flood event.

This transition period—

1. comes into force at 2.20pm on Tuesday 18 February 2020, which is the time and date when the region wide state of emergency declared at 2.20pm on 4 February 2020 for Southland expires;
2. is in force for 28 days;
3. ends at 2.20pm on 17 March 2020, unless extended or terminated earlier.
