In accordance with clause 10(4)(a)(ii) of Schedule 3 to the Education and Training Act 2020, the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand specifies that, unless it is sooner cancelled or expires, a practising certificate issued after 1 February 2021 to a teacher who already holds a current practising certificate expires on the first anniversary of the day on which the certificate already held expires.

This notice applies to all kinds of practising certificates issued by the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
