In the matter of the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal:

Pursuant to section 256 of the Lawyers and Conveyancers Act 2006 (“Act”), notice is hereby given that on 18 March 2020, the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal ordered, pursuant to section 242(1)(e) of the Act, that Rodney James Hooker be suspended from practice as a barrister or as a solicitor, or as both, for a period of three months. On 29 September 2020 the High Court issued a formal judgment which recorded the appeal against this order had been dismissed and in a judgment dated 12 November 2020 ordered that the three months period of suspension is to take effect from 19 December 2020.
